FIRST TIME JESUS MENTIONED “CHURCH”

FIRST TIME JESUS MENTIONED “CHURCH”

As soon as God revealed Jesus to Peter as the Christ, the Son of the Living God, (Math 16:18), the next statement of Jesus was about building his church. He mentioned the word Church for the first time. This is sensitive!

Why building? For Dwelling! Whose Dwelling? God’s!

As soon as Israel came out of Egypt, God asked for a willing offering from the people to build Him a tabernacle so He can dwell with them. (Exod. 25:2; 8).

He brought them out of Egypt for this purpose “…I am the one who brought them out of the land of Egypt so that I could live among them...” (Exod. 29:46).

Just like that physical building in the wilderness was urgent, so also is this spiritual building of believers urgent.

As soon as Jesus came out of the river, baptized; the Father came to dwell in Him by the Spirit. After that, he went into the wilderness for his series of temptations with satan.
He always cares first about his Father’s dwelling before addressing Satan.
When churches win souls and keep them tied to their denominations, it’s like having gravel, sand, cement, water, etc. on a building site each increasing but no builder to harness them into a building for habitation.

All who pray and support TJD in any way have been recruited by Jesus to join him in this most task of building his church.
May the Church awake to this desire of God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
